Breakfast show presenter Tom Clarke welcomed Duncan Roberts into the Ara City Radio studio for the regular Delano’s Top of the Week slot on Monday morning.
The Delano digital editor-in-chief talked about the law passed in parliament last week that does away with the five-year residency requirement for non-nationals to vote in local government elections. Some communes have a non-Luxembourg population of close to 70%.
Duncan also gave a brief explainer on how to register, how the voting system works and said that despite Luxembourg having mandatory voting for anyone on the electoral register, the last time a penalty was issued for anyone failing to vote was in the 1960s.
Duncan then provided listeners with three “what’s on” tips for the coming week including Berlin punk trio , the start of the on Friday, and a of Kamakura restaurant at the Natural History Museum on Sunday.
Finally, Duncan’s track of the week is Widow by Working Men’s Club, taken from their brand-new album Fear Fear.
Tune in again next week on Monday around 8.30am on or listen to the podcast on Delano.
