Among the pieces she will play is the world premiere of “Twinkling Dream”, a piece written for her by the Luxembourg composer of Bulgarian origin, Albena Petrovic Vratchanska, who has composed over 600 works in a variety of genres.

The concert takes place in the context of the 2018-2019 Washington International Piano Series, presented by the Catholic University of America at the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music. Both the concert and the composition were supported by Luxembourg’s ministry of culture, and it is anticipated that the Luxembourg ambassador to the US, Sylvie Lucas, will attend the concert.

In addition to “Twinkling Dream”, Kravos will play works by Mozart, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Brahms, and Liszt.

Award-winning Kravos, who was born in Slovenia and began taking classes at the age of five (although showing talent at an even younger age), has studied at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg under celebrated pianists Marco Kraus and Jean Muller of Luxembourg, as well as at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel alongside classical pianist Maria João Pires. She recorded her first album in Germany at the age of 14, in 2017.
