Luxembourg announced in December 2018 its plan to increase the number of teleworking days from 24 to 48, an increase that was agreed in principle in May 2019.

However, Luxembourg and Belgium have yet to amend their tax treaty, according to Attert mayor Josy Arens.

Belgian finance minister Alexander De Croo says the agreement will be implemented through a new amendment to the Belgian-Luxembourg tax treaty. Technical groups from both countries are expected to meet and, according to Paperjam, the Belgian parliament could give its approval next year.
