Enrolment opened on the Govjobs website on Monday, the ministry said on 23 March. “Registration is compulsory for regulated health professions,” before Tuesday at midnight.
Doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, technicians and other medical professionals need to register, whether they are actively practicing, retired or students (over the age of 18). “The call also applies to physicians in the process of specialisation [training], students, retirees and people on unpaid leave.”
The goal is “to optimise management of the national health reserve.”
At the same time, prospective volunteers who wish to provide support in the health and care sectors can submit their qualifications, availability and contact details to the government exclusively via the website.
Ministry officials will subsequently contact practitioners and volunteers, “based on how the situation develops and the needs of health and care entities.”
