Earlier this month, Luxembourg’s government asked the Nato Support and Procurement Agency, based in Capellen, to build the interim facility.

The NPSA organised material and personnel to be flown into Luxembourg on 20 March; the field hospital has been operational since Thursday.

The Nato team was seen off at Findel airport by François Bausch, the deputy prime minister and defence minister (Green party), on 30 March 2020.
