Dubbed the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the aid is targeted at projects focusing on three topics: social cohesion and resilience, green transition and digitalisation, innovation and governance.
“This document represents a key step in the implementation of the European recovery efforts in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic,” finance minister Pierre Gramegna (DP) said in a statement.
The ministry said that the majority of projects had already been included in the budget planning up to the year 2024. The final selection of will be based on the consultations with the European Commission, which started on Wednesday, to be finalised on 30 April 2021. Luxembourg hopes to secure further finance from the Commission’s covid-19 stimulus package.
