The competition, run annually since 2010 (except for last year), is open to performers of pop, rock, metal, hip hop, and electronic music. However, they must be a national of Luxembourg or reside here.

Culture the Kid
Matteo Griz Wolff, aka Culture the Kid, was one of the winners of the QWEST Freestyle Challenge (also run by the Rocklab) in March 2021. Here is his single, “Lessons”:
Angel Cara
The Luxembourgish singer, real name Cara Anna Wagner, was asked to describe her music in three words. Her answer: “vulnerable, melancholic, and straightforward.” Her first song is entitled “Forgiveness”:
Chasey Negro
The rapper’s latest EP, Oyster, was released last December, a month after he performed at Den Atelier’s City Vibes festival. Listen to “Trophy”:
Lara Grogan
The singer/songwriter from Luxembourg writes pop music inflected by jazz and musicals. She participated in the last Screaming Fields (in 2019), where the On Stéitsch Festival booked her for a performance. Her voice can be heard on the ELGEEUU song “Diamond Memories”:
Mellow
Mellow, the stage name of Kyo Collart, was also a winner of the QWEST Freestyle Challenge. His latest is called “Borderline”:
Zirocco
The only act that isn’t a solo performer, Zirocco, is a metal band made up of Christophe Lanners, Sebastian Rengifo, Nick Kellam, and Marcus Dackner. Watch them cover Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World”:
