According to a joint communiqué by OGBL and LCGB, "after several months of negotiations which took place in a serene and very constructive climate," a framework was agreed upon on 19 June.
The document is based on preserving the company’s competitiveness while improving the salary conditions with "a general increase over 3 years and an envelope for individual increases on a revalued merit."
In addition, provisions have been included for enhanced flexibility in a bid to modernise working conditions, “opening solutions such as teleworking” and improved career management through a “revision of job levels and salary scales”.
Goodyear has some 64,000 employees in 47 facilities in 21 countries. In Luxembourg, the company counts around 3,450 employees. In April, the company announced it would invest $36m in its Colmar-Berg facilities, mainly for process improvements and ramping up its off-the-road (OTR) tyre production.
