Karel is the latest beer in the Ourdaller range. The name is derived from the Luxembourgish word for rye, “Kar”, a nod to the unmalted rye supplied by a farm in Escherange, which gives the brew its rounded, sweet taste. Unfiltered and with an alcohol content of 5%, Karel is as easy on the nose as it is in the mouth, boasting an aroma of fresh bread.

The Ourdaller beer range has been brewed in Heiderscheid for the past 15 years. Simon has been brewing craft beers for the last decade, since it took over the Ourdaller brewery, a label which was created by Runa Egilsdottir and Linda Bos.
