Speaking during Ara City Radio’s Top of the Week feature with Delano, Cordula and Tom discussed how the upcoming national elections are shaping this year in parliament, some of the laws still waiting for a vote--including a controversial reform of rent laws--and the process for them to make it to the plenary.
To kick off the week, Cordula and Tom also talked about some upcoming events, including a concert by and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields on 16 January, an exhibition at taking a playful look at how women can “have it all”, and a about art and bureaucracy.
Finally, Cordula’s book tip of the week is by Dipo Faloyin, who tackles some of the stereotypes that plague the continent. With wit and insight, Faloyin tackles topics such as poverty porn and NGO work, the restitution of looted artefacts but also the geopolitical heritage of colonisation.
Tune in again on Monday 23 January around 8:30am on (87.8 - 102.9 -105.2 FM) or listen to the podcast on Delano.
