The business information division of Editus, a Post subsidiary, has been taken over by Creditsafe, a giant with 120,000 customers in 160 countries who use data from more than 9,000 sources.

“Creditsafe was looking for an opportunity to expand its position in the Benelux region. Our acquisition of Graydon Group in 2022 gave us a very strong position in the Netherlands and Belgium. Our global strategy requires a strong presence in key markets, so strengthening our position in Luxembourg was a logical step,” explains Creditsafe Benelux-DE-AT regional manager Gertjan Kaart.

“We want to accelerate our growth in these markets and continue to develop our leading position in Europe," adds Creditsafe Group CEO Cato Syversen.

The "business information" business unit is part of Editus Luxembourg and its total assets have been acquired in full since 31 December, i.e. operational activities, customers and data. Similarly, staff will join the Creditsafe group to continue and develop services in Luxembourg.

Creditsafe says it will continue to develop the high quality Luxembourg business information database it has acquired, adding international links and new risk and compliance products to help local companies in Luxembourg and international clients continue to grow their businesses. Creditsafe is based in Luxembourg and will actively provide business information services to the local market under the name "GraydonCreditsafe Luxembourg".

Data (financial and insight) accounted for €1.1m of Editus’ €19m revenues in 2022 and employed eight people.
