The airline announced on Thursday that it will begin be serving two destinations, London Stansted with a daily flight and Porto with flights five times a week.

Ryanair’s chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, says the airline estimates the new connections will swell passenger traffic at Luxembourg airport by some 200,000 passengers a year. The airline currently enjoys a 15% share of the European passenger airline market.

The flights to London are scheduled to depart Luxembourg at 10.35 p.m. and land at Stansted at 10.55 p.m. The flight to Luxembourg leaves Stansted at 19.35 in the UK and lands at 10 p.m. local time. The Porto flights are schedule for Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, leaving Luxembourg at 2 p.m. and landing in the Portuguese city at 3.35 p.m. Flights from Porto lave at 10 a.m. and arrive in Luxembourg at 1.35 p.m. Ryanair’s fares to London start at €19.99 for a single flight, while Porto is being offered for €24.99.

“Our London and Porto routes will be ideal for both business and leisure customers, who can enjoy the benefits of Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, which includes more new routes, new digital features, new cabin interiors and even more low fares,” said Jacobs.

Ryanair is the fifth new airline to be added to the Luxembourg airport schedule since the start of the year. HOP, LOT, and Aegean Airlines have already started direct flights from Luxembourg to Lyon, Warsaw and Athens respectively while Flybe has announced it will begin a schedule to Manchester and Birmingham in the UK on 1 September.

Jacobs said that the airline will be looking to expand its network from Luxembourg later in the near future--an announcement of new routes for the 2017 summer schedule could be made in the early autumn. Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester are among the airports being considered, and further routes to Portugal and Italy may also be in the offing.
