The new congé parental law comes into effect on 1 December. The new law includes several key changes to how parents can take their leave and the amount of remuneration they receive during their absence from the workplace. To better explain these changes to concerned parents and parents to be, congé parental information meetings will take place over the course of November.

Myriam Schanck, president of the Zukunftskeess, will make presentation in Luxembourgish with simultaneous translation available in French, German and in sign language upon request.

The meetings take place at the following locations, each starting at 6.30 p.m.

Belvaux in the salle des fêtes of the town hall, 60, rue de la Poste, on Thursday 10 November.

Diekirch in the salle des fêtes of the school complex, place des Écoles (Stehresplaz) on Friday 11 November.

Grevenmacher in the Centre sportif et culturel, place du Marché aux Bestiaux on Tuesday 15 November.

Luxembourg in the Centre culturel in Bonnevoie, 2, rue des Ardennes on Tuesday 22 November.

A feature article about the congé parental reform and its impact can be found in the December edition of Delano, available on 11 November.
