After graduating from Paris ESLSCA Business School, obtaining a MBA in trading and financial markets, and from the University of Toulouse 1 Capitole, obtaining a master 1 in business and tax law, and a master 2 in tax law, Chonou worked in the investment funds team of a leading Luxembourg law firm for a few years. He previously gained experience working as an in house legal advisor in France, both for corporates in the tax field and for a financial institution within the debt capital markets department.

Chonou is qualified and admitted to the Luxembourg Bar. He is a French native speaker, and fluent in English. He advises asset managers in transactions relating to the establishment, restructuring and marketing of funds, as well as advising investors on due diligence on prospective investments. Chonou is working with asset managers in various sectors including real estate, infrastructure, and private credit.
