The Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg (Cal) has a new president. At their general meeting on 25 April 2025, the full members appointed Pierre Reuter to head the association. Treasurer since 2021, he succeeds Marc Hostert, who is handing over the reins after nine years as president and three successive terms of office. “CAL would like to thank Marc Hostert for all the work he has accomplished, his unwavering commitment and the many projects he has conceived and executed,” the organisation stated in its letter.
Two new members have also joined the board on this occasion: Xavier Karger and Claude Kremer. Claude Kremer is taking over from Pierre Reuter as treasurer. The board of directors currently has 15 members, of which eight are artists and seven are not.
Founded in 1893, the CAL, which currently has 136 members, encourages and promotes artistic creation in Luxembourg and ensures that artistic and cultural values are propagated and defended.
