Allianz Global Investors has announced that its Allianz Core Private Markets Fund has raised more than €400m from clients in Europe in just under two years.

Launched in summer 2023, the Allianz Core Private Markets Fund is a fund domiciled in Luxembourg that allows clients to invest in infrastructure (equity and debt), private debt, and private equity. It aims to offer access to a diversified portfolio across geographies, segments, vintage years, and sectors. Allianz Global Investors on 14 May announced that the fund had raised more than €400m from clients across Europe.

“We are very proud of the strong interest of clients in this solution which is proof of our successful product development and innovation capabilities,” commented Edouard Jozan, head of distribution Europe at Allianz Global Investors. He will also occupy the position of head of private markets starting from 1 June 2025. “With the award-winning structure of the ACPMF, a broader client group can benefit from long-term growth potential and portfolio diversification investing alongside Allianz.”

The firm’s private markets fund has a “swap structure that allows the fund to be fully invested immediately, accessing the performance of a private markets basket of the Allianz balance sheet, without having to invest directly in the underlying assets,” explained the press release. Private market investments are often illiquid, posing an additional obstacle. Investors are therefore able to immediately participate in private markets and benefit from more flexible liquidity features.

“We see more and more interest of clients in evergreen funds that allow for access to the sophisticated private markets asset universe with more flexibility whilst generating attractive returns,” added Raluca Jochmann, head of private markets solutions.

Allianz Global Investors is an active asset manager that counts €571bn in assets under management as of 31 December 2024. When it comes to private market assets specifically, it manages roughly €98bn.
