“We are committed to providing our public service clients with the right people, guidance, systems and processes to help meet the evolving needs of their constituents,” said Jean-Marc Ollagnier, Accenture’s CEO for the EMEA region, in the press release. “The acquisition of Arηs Group will help scale our capabilities with a highly skilled workforce, a history of successful public service delivery and valued technical certifications that can quickly be mobilised to serve our clients in Europe.”
With the deal, whose sum remains undisclosed, the American company gains a group specialised in complex IT products and systems, whose clients include the European Commission and various institutions related to the EU, and whose 2,300 employees have been generating annual sales of €300m. For its part, Accenture has a workforce of some 743,000 people across 120 countries.
“The addition of Arηs Group will expand our ability to deliver public service transformation services across Europe,” said Olivier Girard, Accenture’s market unit lead for France/Benelux. “Arηs Group’s talented team and track record, combined with Accenture’s European public service industry expertise, will strengthen our capabilities across the continent. Its public service credentials, entrepreneurial culture and extensive client portfolio are a perfect fit with ours.”
Said Arηs Group found and CEO Jourdan Serderidis: “By joining Accenture, with its capabilities in digital, design, AI, cloud, security, and customer experience, we can have an even greater impact on both private and public organisations’ transformation, irrespective of size or complexity, as well as open up exciting opportunities across Europe.”
What will become of Arηs Group’s managers? “We intend to try to retain most of the management team,” said an Accenture spokesperson, adding: “they will join Accenture Technology with a focus on public services.”
