Roundness and muscle. With a range of up to 400km, this car, which has taken great care with its exterior as well as its interior, with reminders of Brabus, red belts and flashing lights, is unclassifiable. SUV? Too much of a family car. Luxury sports car? Too curvaceous. The Smart #1 Brabus can happily take on the Mini Cooper S, the Fiat 500 Abarth, the Polo GTI or the Clio RS. The on-board technology speaks to Gen Z--sometimes too much, to the point where you have to make your adjustments before starting off--and its boot, once the rear seat has been folded down, to Mr or Mrs Everyman, who will be delighted to be able to park the 2.75 m car with ease, all for less than €50,000.
