On Thursday evening, at the Cercle Cité, the Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo celebrated 50 years of its presence in Luxembourg. The reception brought together representatives from the business and financial sectors, as well as several Luxembourg politicians, including the Prime Minister and the Minister for Finance, alongside the group’s management and that of its Luxembourg subsidiary.

On 11 June, Intesa Sanpaolo celebrated 50 years of its presence in Luxembourg at the Cercle Cité. The event brought together representatives from the Grand Duchy’s economic and financial community, as well as several key figures from the public sector, including the Prime minister, Luc FriedenLuc Frieden, the minister of Finance, Gilles RothGilles Roth and the Italian ambassador to Luxembourg, Carmine RobustelliCarmine Robustelli. This provided the Italian banking group with an opportunity to highlight the role of its Luxembourg subsidiary in its international corporate and investment banking activities and to look back on half a century of history within the Luxembourg financial centre.
